Doggone tired Ultra - Trail Run - 10 Mile or 50K Run - october

Our Doggone Tired Ultra marathon will be a 50k run that starts at 8am on September 25th, 2021.The 10 mile run will start promptly at 7:50am also on the 25th. Sweatshirt and BIB pick up happens the day of the race between 6:30am- 7:30am. On site registration will be available during this time also (sweatshirt not included). Make sure to sign up by September 8th, 2021 to receive a sweatshirt.
We again are part of the No Coast Trail Series-( you do not have to be in the series to come run with us ) if you are not part of this you can participate, check them out- for some friendly competition!
This is our 7th annual ultra run. Our trail is marked with two different colored flags that you follow (one out and one back) - there are more than 1200 flags on the course to make sure that you can find your way. We also pick two movies , and write quotes down from them and as you run you try to determine what the two movies are - winning guesses go in a drawing for a gift card !

Our start / finish / pick up area is in the main park. As you enter the park drive straight forward (not the first right) and continue around the lake to the right. There is a restroom and shelter (no sides ) located at the end on a circle drive.
Rodgers Park is a quiet county park that has some beautiful wood chip finished trails that we will be using around the lake a campground areas. The run will also have approx 3.5 miles on a low- no traffic gravel road with marked off areas. The rest of the trail will include the grassy area around a field and thru a wooded area for some more technical areas. As with any trail run be careful when off road running. Around the 10 mile loop are 2 bathroom facilities , and shower facilities when your done if you choose.
Since it is a three times around the loop run we will not have a drop off bag area whereas you may stop at your vehicle to grab what you may need. We will supply 2 food- water stops with a variety of foods and liquids to rehydrate you with( m&ms , prezles, banana dogs, scoobie snacks, scoobie treats, water, gatoraid,mountain dew and gu packs). If you need anything specific make sure to bring it with you so that you have it on your run.
On our third lap pacers may run the final lap with their runners. They will need to fill out a waiver. They are not allowed to carry items for their runners.
There is a second lap cut off of 5 hours so that we can get everyone across the finish and get the volunteers home in 9 hours :)
Post race food will also be supplied to replenish your Doggone Tired bodies! Oh yea - we have a celebratory beer chillin for you too !
